Evans Motorsport ready for Phillip Island
This weekend sees Evans Motorsport competing at picturesque Phillip Island for Round 7 of the Australian Formula Ford Championship. Team driver Trent Harrison’s mood is buoyed, having come off his career best round result of 4th – last time out at Sandown Raceway.
‘’I can’t wait to get back out there! The team and I have been working hard since our last event and things seem to be shaping up well.’’ said the ZX1-backed driver.
‘’We know the competition is going to be really tough this weekend. Nick Percat is in amazing form at the moment. And the return of Ashley Walsh has really raised the bar. But all we can do is put our head down and do the best we can’’.

Team owner Joshua Evans is equally looking forward to the challenge. ‘’The whole team has been itching to get back out there since our strong debut at Sandown. Trent did an amazing job in what was, due to budgetary restraints, only his second national race meeting of the year’’.
‘’The boys at the workshop having been working tirelessly on getting developments onto the car, and Trent has been putting just as much effort into his training – so we’re focussed on seeing some rewards!’’.
This weekend Evans Motorsport will also be assisting Formula Ford debutant Tom Williamson in his Brad Jones Racing prepared Mygale SJ09. Tom is a multiple karting champion and will be using this weekend to gain experience in preparation of a full championship assault in 2010.
