Evans Motorsport Group to run new Mygale SJ10a

Evans Motorsport Group, led by former Team Sonic crew chief, Joshua Evans will campaign two of Mygale’s new cutting edge designed chassis – the Mygale SJ10a. The new cars, which will feature completely new side pods, air intake and engine cover – designed with the knowledge gained through Mygale’s Formula Three wind tunnel program – is a significant improvement in terms of straight line speed, on the already dominant Mygale chassis.

‘’The team is really looking forward to getting our hands on the new SJ10a’’ said Evans ‘’We have been in constant contact with the Mygale factory as their developments have evolved, and the figures we have seen have been very encouraging.’‘

Evans Motorsport Group was a new entry in Formula Ford in 2009 and contested two Mygale SJ08a chassis at the Sandown and Phillip Island rounds of the 2009 Australian Formula Ford Championship – finishing 4th at Sandown and achieving two 3rd place finishes at Phillip Island.

Tim Blanchard, a driver coach for Evans Motorsport added ‘’Having won the 2007 Australian Championship, and finished 2nd in the 2008 British Championship; both in Myagle chassis’, I’m sure that Josh and the team have made the right choice. Myagle has comprehensively dominated Formula Ford racing around the world lately; winning the Australian, New Zealand, British, and Dutch Championships along with the all-important Formula Ford Festival – I expect this form to continue in 2010.’’

‘’We believe that the new chassis, aided with the teams ongoing engine and damper development programs will really propel the team even further forward next year.’’ added Evans ‘’We’re very much looking forward to our first full season in 2010 and a full-on attack on the championship.”
